Reiki & Your Chakras

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is the Japanese word for the 'universal life force' energy within you. Sometimes we need to be 'energized' after the stresses in our daily lives and from other peoples causes us to lose our vitality. We can literally feel drained or weighed down and reiki treatments can help to boost your emotional, physical, and spiritual self.

The natural healing energy flows through the hands of the reiki practioner. The practitioner places their hands over different parts of the body and directs the healing energy into the body of the receiver. Since it is Universal energy, the healing vibrations are sent to exactly where they need to go. It may relieve pains and acute symptoms very quickly.

The sending of reiki energy can also be done over distance of time and place. People send energy all the time without even realizing it! Just being in a certain mood can radiate different energies to the people around us. You can probably feel a certain energy from browsing through the pages of this website. Energy is everywhere and sending healing energy to someone can be just as effective in person as it is at a distance.

Reiki energy is sent to different chakras in your body. I use reiki symbols, colour therapy, affirmations, and prayer during a reiki session to enhance the healing process.

What are CHAKRAS???

Chakras are energy points within your body that are associated with different colours and emotions. If you are feeling off balance or there are certain areas in your life that you need help with, then clearing your chakras and centering your bodies' energy can help you feel revitalized.

There are seven main energy centers. They start at the base of your spine with your root chakra, and go up toward the top of your head, where your crown chakra is located.

ROOT CHAKRA- (red) Associated with wealth and security.

SACRAL CHAKRA- (orange) Associated with desires and depth of feeling.

SOLAR PLEXUS- (yellow) Associated with power.

HEART CHAKRA - (green) - Associated with love and self acceptance.

THROAT CHAKRA- (blue) - Associated with communication.

THIRD EYE CHAKRA - (indigo) - Associated with visualization.

CROWN CHAKRA (violet) - associated with self knowledge and your Universal or Spiritual Identity.
